Home in the Garden

Today I got to spend some time with my Sigma sisters. They are very lovely ladies and I enjoy hearing their stories.

The home we were blessed to meet in was designed by Elizabeth Wright Ingraham, architect for about 150 buildings in Colorado Springs and Frank Lloyd Wright's granddaughter. It was an amazing stone and glass home. The exterior walls were 18 inches of stacked stone with floor to ceiling windows. Every other window was a door that opened up to let the awesome breeze flow through the house.  The home borders the Garden of the Gods and they own two rock formations. Amazing!

Audi

When it's time for you to buy a new car, go get an Audi. I am so impressed with the buying experience and service department.

I hate going in for service, hate it. Today was so different. The service manager knew I was Mrs. Speer and what I was there for. Plus I was the only car in line. Yep, I did not have to sit in my car waiting for 10 people in front of me to get checked in and on their way.

A few copies and signatures and I was on my way, well almost. Mrs. Speer let me go get your car for the day thawed out; would you like a coffee/water and pastry? A few minutes later after chatting with another nice employee and grabbing a water, I was on my way in my thawed car for the day.

Such an awesome experience in comparison with so many other ones where I felt like a number with a checkbook.

Disclaimer: he did admit to cheating, he said he only had one Q5 in that color coming in today. I'll give him that but it was still an awesome experience.

On a funny side note, another employee arrived in her VW bug with her convertible top back. Apparently when it is cold, it doesn't like to work.  Last night it was below 20 and snowing. Her morning commute must have been a little chilly!

I recommend Phil Long Audi to anyone in the Springs.

A day at Copper

From a three year old's perspective. We walked, climbed, tubed, and snacked. He did not want chips for snack so he grabbed the menu and tried to order a sandwich with fries.

Loving the snow

These boys are loving the snow. We've only had two locally. The high country has gotten a lot!  Our 5 year old loves it while our 3 year old is quite hesitant. Copper Mountain and Winter Park have become their playground!
